Microsoft mouthpiece Larry Hryb has confirmed via Twitter that Twin Peaks-inspired adventure Deadly Premonition is being added to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility scheme from today.
The game by Hidetaka ‘Swery’ Suehiro casts you as FBI Agent Francis York Morgan who comes to the town of Greendale to investigate a series of murders by a foe dubbed The Raincoat Killer. Weirdness ensues.

Despite the budget appearances, the game has a cult following and generally well loved – we scored it an 8 all the way back in 2010 warning that while it wouldn’t be for everyone, it’s ‘funny, disturbing and completely original’.
