Destructoid reports that sources familiar with the project have revealed Australian developer Krome Studios is currently working on Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, a new third-person action title for Xbox 360 and PS3.
The gaming blog has been told that the game will feature a two-player cooperative mode, plus Jedi and Clone story missions. In the Jedi missions players will take control of Anakin Skywalker or Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano. The only known playable character in the Clone missions is bounty hunter Cad Bane.
The third-person action will focus on melee combat and this will be supported by upgrades which will be purchasable throughout the game. The anonymous source also indicated that players will be able to control droids, such as the rolling Droideka.
Krome has refused to comment on rumour and speculation.
