Chime Super Deluxe, a music-creation puzzle game from Zoe Mode, is due for release on PSN soon.
Chime is already available on Xbox LIVE Arcade and PC, but the Super Deluxe edition will feature exclusive artists and tracks.
Five announced artists and tracks:
“Ooh Yeah”, Moby
“Spilled Cranberries”, Markus Schulz
“Brazil”, Philip Glass
“For Silence”, Paul Hartnoll (Orbital)
“Disco Ghosts”, Fred Deakin (Lemon Jelly)
In the game players must cover a number of different grids with irregular shapes to form rectangular blocks called quads. The unique twist is that every shape and quad generates musical notes and phrases, meaning that as the grid is filled a song builds up in the background.
Chime didn’t set the gaming world alight when it released in early 2010 on the Xbox 360 (and later on PC), but it did go on to win numerous awards. A spruced up version on PSN can only be a good thing for PS3 owners.
