Bungie looks set to make some announcements on and around Bungie Day, which takes place on July 7. Eric Osborne, Bungie’s community content writer, teased the upcoming news on last week’s Bungie update.

“Yup, truth told we have been less and less active on Bungie.net as of late. Part of that is owed to my aforementioned travel arrangements, but a significant amount of my time is also now being dedicated to other upcoming endeavours that won’t make a splash on the front page until Bungie Day closes in around us,” posted Osborne (username Urk). “Unfortunately, that means there are just too many balls in the air for me to juggle without letting a few fall to the ground.”

He finished by adding that we can expect “more explicit details about those balls in the weeks ahead.”

What could the announcement be? It’s clearly something to do with Bungie’s project with Activision, but is it an MMO or a new FPS franchise? Or a combination of both? Could it be the often rumoured Destiny? One thing’s for sure; Bungie won’t be showing anything at E3 next week.
