Any Halo 3 news is big news, and when reports begin to spread that a new seven-minute Halo 3 video will be hitting Xbox Live it’s hard not to get excited.
The news comes from the blogs of PlatoniX and YLA G, both of whom are Belgian Xbox Ambassadors. Although not citing a source for their information, they claim that on December 20 the Halo 3 video will appear on Xbox Live Marketplace. The video will feature two and a half minutes of in-game footage and will reveal that Brutes will be playable in Halo 3.
So is the news true? Microsoft won’t say, and an Xbox Ambassador, although sanctioned by Microsoft, is not actually an employee of the platform holder. It also seems strange that Bungie/MS would choose to reveal the Brutes as a playable race now, especially given that they managed to keep the Arbiter secret until Halo 2 was released.
If the video does show up on December 20 then great, but don’t hold your breath.
