The Blade Runner sequel will now release earlier than originally planned, hitting cinemas worldwide on October 6, 2017, Alcon Entertainment has announced. The film had been expected on January 12, 2018.
The sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1982 classic will star Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Robin Wright and Dave Bautista. Denis Villeneuve (Sicario, Prisoners) will direct, with principle photography set for July 2016.
Ridley Scott will serve as Executive Producer.
Warner Bros will release the film in North America, with Sony Pictures Releasing International taking control of the overseas markets.
