Speaking to Official PlayStation Magazine, but also posted on semi-official Sony blog Three Speech, Harrison refused to give a direct answer to the question of a March 2007 PlayStation 3 launch in Europe.

Given that all of our previous statements about launching in Europe simultaneously with the US and Japan turned out not to be the case, I would not like to make any definitive statements on that,” said Harrison. “It’s not my job to comment on hardware supply issues other than to say some very smart people are working very hard to catch up.

Moving away from hardware issues, Harrison also offered his thoughts on what he believes is the strongest first-party software line-up in PlayStation history. “Bearing in mind that we launched PS2 with Fantavision as a first party title – great game though it is – it’s by no means the game on which you would rest an entire format,” said Harrison.

This best ever launch line-up in North America includes Resistance: Fall of Man, Genji, and NBA 07, plus several playable demos including F1 and MotorStorm.
