A post on the studio’s website has revealed it is now part of Rebellion, and has two first-person shooters in development for PC and console platforms. A job posting on the website reveals that at least one of the titles will be “a new and exciting IP in the FPS genre.” Strangelite has some experience in the FPS genre, having worked on the disappointing Starship Troopers under Empire Interactive.
Now working for Rebellion, the studio may be given a chance to develop more licensed titles, with Rebellion’s 2000 AD comics a likely source. Judge Dredd and Rogue Trooper have already made the transition to video games, the latter most successfully.
