SEGA and Platinum Games’ Bayonetta was released to universal acclaim earlier this month, and it would appear a sequel is most definitely on the cards.

“We obviously have love for the work we have created, so I don’t see anything wrong with Bayonetta 2,” Platinum Games director Hideki Kamiya told Game Informer. “Personally, I’d like to approach the world of Bayonetta from a different angle, in the form of a spin-off.”

We’d certainly prefer to see a straight-up sequel, but given the quality of the first game, we’re sure Platinum Games would make a spin-off work.
