The UEFA Champions and Europa League will remain exclusive to PES for at least the next three years, Konami has announced.

Konami originally secured the UEFA licence back in 2009 and has held on to the exclusive rights to Europe’s premiere cup competitions ever since. The competitions feature in the game both as an individual mode and within the larger season modes, with the UEFA Super Cup featuring in Master League.

“We are very pleased to continue and extend our working partnership with Konami,” said UEFA Events S.A. marketing director Guy Laurent-Epstein. “This new cycle provides an opportunity to build an even closer working relationship, allowing us to activate in new and exciting ways over the next 3 years.”

PES 2016 debuted its new cover star, Neymar, yesterday alongside the first teaser trailer. A full reveal is due tomorrow.
