Nintendo Switch Online Service will cost users in Japan between 2,000 and 3,000 yen, which in US dollars is between $17.50 and $26.50, Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima has told Nikkei.
The information was translated by analyst Dr. Serkan Toto, who posted to Twitter.
A UK price in the region of £30 wouldn’t be a surprise.
In a first for a Nintendo system, the Online Service subscription will be required to access online multiplayer, with Nintendo also offering a free classic game each month.
Switch launches March 3 priced £279.
