The Nintendo DS is having its price cut from $150 to $130 this weekend to coincide with the launch of the highly anticipated, and already massively successful, Nintendogs. Since the DS launched in the US in November 2004 the handheld has sold over 2.5 million units, with over five million having shipped worldwide.
There is currently no announced plan to carry out a similar price cut in Europe. If the price is to be reduced, expect it to coincide with the release October 7th release of Nintendogs. We’ll let you know if Nintendo Europe makes any announcements.
