After yesterday’s scans of an attachment for the 3DS that introduces a second circle pad, Nintendo has confirmed that the peripheral is indeed real.
“We can confirm that Nintendo plans to release the Circle Pad attachment, but Nintendo’s regional subsidiaries will make further announcements about its availability at a later date,” the platform holder told Kotaku.
The slide pad was revealed yesterday alongside Monster Hunter 3G. Capcom’s monster slaying juggernaut will launch on 3DS later this year. It’s not yet clear whether the device will be utilised beyond this game.
