Recently Bill Gates confirmed that the next Microsoft console will ship this year. Today we got one step closer to a release date, with MTV revealing that the console will be released in November this year. MTV’s advanced schedule pages listed the “MTV Presents: The Next Generation Xbox Revealed” program. This isn’t all that exciting in itself, but the listing also included a description of what the show will include, saying that it will feature “trailers of the newest games that are due out in November for the new Xbox.”
A November launch would make sense and could coincide with the Xbox’s fourth anniversary (in the US at least), but nothing is confirmed. We’ll have to wait until the MTV show and possibly even E3 before the situation is clear.
