Starbreeze announced that they are working on a next generation title called ‘The Darkness’. It’s based on a movie adaptation of a comic book (yes, another one) and is scheduled to be released on next-generation consoles in 2006.
In the game players take the role of Jackie Estacado, a mafia hitman who acquires a demonic suit known as ‘The Darkness’. This grants him powers over demons and the like, giving Starbreeze plenty of scope to do something interesting with the game. Indeed, Chronicles of Riddick was one of the true surprises of last year, so we await this title with interest.
