After the success of last year’s videogame pictorial, which saw the likes of BloodRayne and Mileena from Mortal Kombat stripping down, Playboy has decided that its readers want more rendered beauties. The October issue of Playboy will feature eight gaming goddesses each showing off their bare essentials.
“Last year, we were selling a new concept. The response we got last year and the huge promotional bump resulted in companies lining up at our door. I literally had to turn away six or seven publishers,” said Scott Alexander, senior editor for Playboy.
The lucky computer generated centrefolds appearing in the October issue are Jacqui, a cheerleader from Blitz: The League, Carla Valenti, a detective, from Atari’s Fahrenheit, Cassidy and Tala from Capcom’s Darkwatch, Alexa, a reporter from 50 Cent: Bulletproof, and characters from God of War, Hellgate: London, and Playboy the Mansion: Private Party.
The pictures will be printed onto eight trading cards, which when arranged correctly will form the ninth picture. Those wanting all eight cards will need to buy the two different editions of the October issue of Playboy as only four cards are included in each.
