F.E.A.R. 3 developer Day 1 Studio is working on a title that will return them to their roots, a teaser video has revealed.
The video doesn’t show much, but does say that “Day 1 Studios returns to its roots”, with those roots seemingly involving massive mechs – as you can see below.
Before working on F.E.A.R. 3 for Warner Bros. Day 1 made Fracture for LucasArts, but prior to that it developed MechAssault and MechAssault: Lone Wolf for the original Xbox – the first game being one of the first to make use of Xbox LIVE.
A new game in the MechAssault series would be a blast from the past, given that Lone Wolf was released in 2004. Fun anecdote for you: I never managed to finished the game as my Xbox crashed every time I killed the final boss.
