Keiji Inafune has told VideoGamer.com that variety is key if the next-generation of games are to be a success.
“We see the push for more realistic graphics and that’s continuing with the next-generation hardware as well, but if everybody does that it’s just going to be the same for everybody” said the former Capcom producer.
“I’d like to push things in a different direction and see how we can work with the next-gen hardware so there is variety. We don’t want everything to look the same.”
Inafune is currently backing up his thoughts with his latest project, Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, which utilises a more colourful visual style including hand-drawn elements.
