This price will apply to games such as Ridge Racer and Wipeout pure, which will launch with the console on September 1st in the UK. There is no word on the retail price for third party games, but we can expect them to be priced similarly. However, if pricing is similar to that of the DS, where first party titles are priced cheaper than third party titles, then we could see games on the PSP priced at £39.99. This is very unlikely though.
The PSP is to launch in the UK on September 1st priced at £179.99. For this you get the Value Pack which includes the PSP console, a 32MB Memory Stick Duo, battery pack, earphones and a cloth to clean the screen. Early buyers will also be able to register to receive a free copy of Spider-Man 2 on UMD.
Expect Pro-G to start reviewing PSP games in August, leading up the European release.
