Yacht Club Games, the studio behind the excellent 8-bit-flavoured platformer Shovel Knight, has announced its next project, Cyber Shadow.
This time, it's teaming up with one-man developer Aarne 'MekaSkull' Hunziker, and will be handling the publishing side of things.
Keeping in with the retro theme of its previous title, Cyber Shadow takes the form of a 2D side-scrolling platformer that channels franchises such as Super Mario Bros., Ninja Gaiden, and Contra. Oh, and there's also a bit of Batman in there for good measure, hence its dark aesthetic.
More information on the game is expected at PAX East this week. Cyber Shadow is slated for release on PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One platforms, though a release date has yet to be confirmed.
