According to the latest patch notes on PS5 update version 23.01-07.60.00.07 has enacted the following changes on the system:

Aside from that, there are little updates on what the specific changes are, though this is all we know for now.
The software update will require 1GB of download space, though Sony have neglected to fill us in with what’s actually going into the update. It’s always worth updating though, as no doubt the stability improvements will benefit all players.
There isn’t much in the way of an update for the controller, so you don’t have to worry about that for now.
