Nintendo’s latest weekly eShop update is led by Star Fox, which is now available for Nintendo Switch 2.
The new release is described by Nintendo as a cinematic take on Star Fox 64, with updated character designs, revised stage visuals, cutscenes, voiced dialogue and an orchestral soundtrack. The Switch 2 version also includes new modes, online multiplayer and a free demo on Nintendo eShop.
Star Fox headlines Nintendo’s latest Switch 2 update
Nintendo’s update also includes DELTARUNE Chapter 5, which launches as a free update for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The new chapter continues Toby Fox’s parallel story to UNDERTALE, with it being described as a release where players can fight or spare enemies while exploring its world with returning characters.
Capcom’s Devil May Cry 5 Devil Hunter Edition is also available now on Switch 2. According to the listing, the edition includes downloadable content and adds Vergil as a playable character. The release is also listed as supporting 60 fps in both TV and handheld modes.
Beyond the headline eShop titles, the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment soundtrack has been added to Nintendo Music. The update also includes new Nintendo 64-themed playlists featuring music from games such as Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Yoshi’s Story, Wave Race 64 and F-Zero X.
Several timed promotions and events are also part of this week’s update. Pokémon Pokopia is running a Wish Upon a Jirachi event until July 8, while Tetris 99 will host its 55th MAXIMUS CUP from July 10 to July 13, with players able to unlock a theme based on Star Fox. Nintendo is also offering a bonus month of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack with eligible 12-month memberships until July 28 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
Nintendo’s Summer Sale is also live, with selected digital games and DLC discounted on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 until July 8 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
