Rockstar Games has confirmed that the standard edition of GTA 6 will be priced at $79.99, while the Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition will be available for $99.99.
The game is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders will begin at midnight on June 25, 2026.
GTA VI pre-orders and editions
According to Rockstar’s announcement, the Ultimate Edition includes additional digital content connected to Jason and Lucia’s story, including vehicles, weapons, apparel and other in-game items. All pre-orders and purchases made before November 20, 2026, will include the Vintage Vice City Pack.
Digital pre-orders will also include one free month of GTA+. Rockstar said that benefit will be redeemable immediately and can be used with Grand Theft Auto V and other titles included in the GTA+ Games Library.
Players who buy digital versions of Grand Theft Auto 6 will be able to begin pre-loading the game on November 12, 2026, one week before launch. Physical versions will also be available from November 12, but Rockstar said boxed copies will contain a download code rather than a disc which seems a bit ludicrous to me. I’d quite like a disc, though I do imagine we’re not far off a future where discs literally don’t exist.
Grand Theft Auto 6 will be sold through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Store and participating global retailers. The game has not yet received an age rating.
Rockstar describes Grand Theft Auto 6 as a single-player experience set in what it calls the series’ largest and most immersive world to date. As of yet, we’ve no details about a potential GTA 6 online, but from job postings and industry rumors, we’re almost certainit will come. It’s just a matter of time.
