Fortnite has started 2026 with a big collaboration, bringing South Park characters into its universe. Now, just a week after the collaboration came out, Epic Games unvaulted the most controversial Fortnite weapon. Next time you launch the game, you will be able to pick up the Infinity Blade and see why it has a bad reputation.

The weapon was available for only a few days in December 2018. It was the first Mythic weapon widely available in the Battle Royale mode, but was deemed too powerful. Due to this, Epic removed it quickly after, while promising to change the approach to Mythic items.

Infinity Blade has returned in Fortnite

Infinity Blade is a melee weapon in Fortnite that can do it all. Once you pick it up, you can slice your opponents with it in several ways, and you can also use it to move quickly around the island.

However, what makes the blade truly powerful is its siphon mechanic, as well as a stat boost. When you wield the Fortnite weapon, you will receive a larger HP pool and health regeneration. Furthermore, you will also gain effective health for every elimination you get with it.

The Infinity Blade was first released in Chapter 1 – Season 7, so Epic brought it back to the OG mode. However, it is important to add that the controversial weapon will only be available for a limited time. The Fortnite developer will remove it on Monday, January 9.

If you want to try the Mythic weapon, visit the Polar Peak POI and pick it up. However, be careful, as many other players will try to do the same. If you use it wisely, you are almost guaranteed to finish the match with a Victory Royale.
