Marvel Rivals has been out for more than a year, attracting millions of players. NetEase has done a great job with it, releasing over a dozen new characters and adding new features. Unfortunately, the game is still far from perfect, and the Quick Play, one of its core modes, may be completely ruined.
As you may be aware, the Quick Play in Marvel Rivals features bots. The idea is that if you lose too many games, you will be placed in bot lobbies, where you can easily win. However, the game’s matchmaking system seems to be broken, as it puts players into these lobbies after a single loss.
Marvel Rivals has too many bots
Reddit user SignalDifference348 recently showed off one of the biggest problems that Marvel Rivals has. Quick Play has completely lost its competitiveness, as the game has too many bots. The player was put in a bot match after a single loss and even after one victory.
It appears that not even getting an SVP in a loss helps, as there’s a chance you will be put into a bot match right after it. Unfortunately, bot lobbies are extremely easy and possess no real challenge, which is why the community has grown tired of them.

Even getting bots after two losses is sometimes too much, but the current situation is much worse. The biggest problem is that the game already has a mode against bots, so there is no reason to put them in Quick Play as well. However, we hope that NetEase will do something about this issue and make the mode more competitive.
With Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone coming in early 2026, we expect the player count to skyrocket once again. Hopefully, this will reduce the need for bots, as the game would be much more fun without them.
