Fortnite’s OG mode recently entered the seventh season, bringing a snowy biome and many new items. This mode was unavailable at the beginning of Chapter 7, as the Battle Bus had to undergo a repair. However, as soon as Epic Games brought it back, we got new content, including X-4 Stormwing planes.
On Monday night, Epic released a balance update for the OG Fortnite mode, fixing a few things and vaulting a weapon. These changes were made in order to make the mode feel as identical to Chapter 1 – Season 7 as possible, which is a step in the right direction.
The Fortnite OG mode received a huge update
While many Fortnite players look forward to the Winterfest update coming soon, many of them are already enjoying the snowy biome and gameplay updates.
The latest update has changed the OG mode, for the better, and here is everything that it brought:
- The Legendary Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle is now vaulted
- You can now redeploy your glider when exiting X-4 Stormwings in mid-air
- The spread of the Burst AR was adjusted when sprinting, sliding, or jumping
- Boogie Bombs now drop in stacks of two
- Miniguns and Epic and Legendary Heavy Assault Rifles now have spread and recoil closer to their Chapter 1 variants
- Scoped weapons have been improved while airborne and aiming down sights

Even though they were originally introduced in Season 8, Reboot Vans are available in the OG mode. The latest update made a small change to them as well, fixing their timings to the original values.
Considering that the new season of the OG mode was recently released, we expect Epic Games to release even more balance changes in the future. After all, it won’t be surprising if the game developer decides to vault the controversial Infinity Blade once again.
