The Dead By Daylight Paragraph for March is intended to star a solo Survivor with a unique twist on an existing DBD Killer. Leaks previously revealed the Survivor to be Renjiro Yamaoka, and now new leaks show datamined lore files, suggesting that the Survivor is still coming after BeHaviour raised the possibility it might be cancelled.

These datamined lore files come courtesy of OP chainsawdoctor01 on the LeaksDBD subreddit. What we know about Renjiro from previous concept art leaks is that he’s a “Samurai on a quest to break a curse,” and he is also “Kazan’s father, Rin’s ancestor, and the first of the cursed Yamaoka bloodline”. In addition to being The Oni’s father, he’s a “Tragic hero, driven by honor, broken by a terrible downfall,” and he is “stoic, reserved, and calm, [a] master of his emotions”.

BeHaviour Community Manager, Eric Pope, raised the possibility that the March Survivor might be cancelled in the same livestream the November Chapter was delayed to January. While stating the March “map is progressing really well,” Pope suggested the March Paragraph might “not have a Survivor” because “Survivors bring perks, and perks can be time consuming in terms of finding the right balance”.

Renjiro was leaked at the same time as concept art for a muscle queen wrestler that looks suspiciously like WWE’s Rhea Ripley. There’s no confirmation this Survivor is still coming, but in the replies, chainsawdoctor01 believes the wrestler could be part of the next original Chapter after The Grimoire.

Before the March Survivor arrives, we will get the licensed Chapter in January, starring two Survivors and one Killer. There is hope the January Chapter could be Stranger Things, but there are also rumours of Predator, which has reportedly been “lined up since Alien”.
