Members of the month – September 2011

Au revoir September, thanks for stopping by and dropping off the games at our front door. We’ve enjoyed the likes of Gears of War 3, Resistance 3 and FIFA 12 this month, but more importantly than that; we’ve been delighted with what our members have come up with around the site. So after a month trolling the forums, it’s time to see who the best flame baiter is… Only kidding. It’s time to decide who has won our Member of the Month award. Each winner will have the choice of any game (up to the value of £50) from GAME!

We’ve been running this promotion for years, with the results announced on the forums and our podcasts. Now we’ve decided to go into a little more detail, with a brief explanation of why we’ve picked the specific winners each month.

September was an interesting one, spawning several posts outlining forum games rather than general discussion. We’ve had a lot of fun playing along with them. A gaming website with games in the forums!? It’s like Inception!

It’s important to mention that if you did not win this time around, please do not feel unappreciated; we genuinely love all your contributions to VideoGamer.com, and as fortune has it, we’ll be picking another set of winners in precisely one month’s time.

MrHEWBO

There’s a new winner to add to the board. We’ve been rather impressed with MrHEWBO, although he doesn’t post heavily across all the forums, he does have an active participation in podcast matters, always throwing us some fun questions to deal with. We love his enthusiasm and light-heartedness. The thing that we found most amusing was his thread STORY TIME YAY. A riveting and captivating story that we hope will one day be published into a two-page epic, leather bound tome. Well played.

RukuTheWolf

RukuTheWolf seems to be hot stuff around here. He really is a gamey gamer, and it seems there’s not a game he dislikes . Making his debut in the later parts of August, he spawned one of the best forum games yet: Guess the game!. At a whopping 63 pages long, this thread continued strong through September and provided the forum with a lot of fun. Good job!

Woffls

And our final spot goes to Woffls. This guy really does have his finger in all the pies. He spans the forum like no other, always giving a well-rounded opinion, and even giving some very helpful heads-up info where possible. We love how he’s helped shaped the community, with countless contributions through September; we think he really deserves a MOTM award. Oh, all that and he totally bribed us the other day…
