As the sun starts to droop and July comes to a close, it’s time to pick three of our users who have done an absolutely sterling job of contributing to VideoGamer.com’s website and forums. These Members of the Month, will each win a game of their choice (up to the value of £50) from GAME.

We’ve been running this promotion for years, with the results announced on the forums and our podcasts. Now we’ve decided to go into little more details, with a brief explanation of why we’ve picked the specific winners each month.

July has been made fantastic once more by you guys and gals of the community, and as usual it’s been rather difficult to choose from so many great offerings. After scouring our message boards throughout the month, three members shone through. It’s important to mention that if you did not win this time around, please do not feel unappreciated; we genuinely love all your contributions to VideoGamer.com, and as fortune has it, we’ll be picking another set of winners in precisely one month’s time.

Without any further delay, here are our Members of the Month for July:

87Sarah

87Sarah is a relative newcomer to VideoGamer.com compared to some of our veterans. Joining early on in 2011, she recently broke past 1000 posts and has helped bring the community closer together with lengthy forum debates and genuine curiosity for other user’s interests. She continues to add value to topics even 14 pages in, and we found her thread on game restrictions

particularly intriguing. One of our favourite moments this month was seeing the community open up with a micro questionnaire from 87Sarah in “Some (not so) quick stats”.

Chaza_snake

Chaza_snake is another very fresh face to the forums, having only joined us this June. Still, he has definitely earned his place here at VG Towers. We enjoy his contributions because he not only posts some great opinions, but also continues to help out and be informative where possible. Anything from giving you a heads-up on films, to updating the bargin bin thread, or even starting some interesting threads of his own, he’s done it all. We rather liked his “Games you’ve kept the longest” discussion, and are highly impressed with his 100 per cent thumbs up rating (please don’t give him a thumbs down just because we’ve mentioned this!).

dav2612

Our last Member of the Month prize goes to dav2612, for being such an ace chap. dav shone brightest at the beginning of July by creating a wealth of forum content. Not only has he formed some fantastic threads, but his tireless contributions and consistent quality of posting has ensured his place on the podium. Check out some of his discussions on greed, the importance of a first impression, and our favourite, being girly.

Congratulations once again to our winners, and warm thanks to everyone who’s contributed over the past month. If you’d like to suggest someone for MOTM, why not add your thoughts to the Member of the Month: Forum Edition thread? While we always make our own decision, we always keep an eye on the chat in there.
