The console war is fought everywhere these days, but the internet seems to be where people are most vocal. It also serves to give each console its own set of downloadable content, fuelling the war even more. Each week we’ll give you a run-down of what’s available to download on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii, and declare a winner.

And the winner of this week’s DLC Royal Rumble is…

As was the case last week there’s very little to split Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network with much of the same content – Mercury, Resi Code Veronica, Battlefield 3 beta – present on both channels. Worms: Ultimate Mayhem is only on Xbox LIVE Arcade, but we’ve not played it and it’s based on two average titles from yesteryear.

We’re going to call this one a draw.

We don’t know enough about WiiWare title escapeVektor: Chapter 1 to make a definitive statement, but the game was earning some pre-release buzz on certain Wii fansites – this might be enough for some to take a gamble at 500 Wii Points.
