To mark the launch of the Nintendo DS in the UK, five Virgin Megastores across the UK will be opening at midnight on the launch day. As an incentive to venture out into the cold that late at night, the first person through the door at each store will win an exclusive T-Shirt, while the next fifty to enter will receive an “I was TOUCHED by Nintendo DS” T-Shirt. If this isn’t enough, one lucky person will win an all expenses paid trip to Nintendo’s headquarters in Japan, to see where the magic happens and meet Shigeru Miyamoto.
The five stores that will open at midnight are at the following locations:
- London 14-19 Oxford Street
- Birmingham 41-43 The Pavillion Shopping Centre, 38 the Hight Street
- Liverpool 8-9 Tops Plaza, Clayton Square Shopping Centre
- Glasgow 235 Buchanan Street
- Cardiff 7-9 Capital Arcade, The Capital, Queens Street
The DS launches across Europe on March 11th 2005 with an RRP of £99. Games will retail for £29 or £19 depending on the title.
