Tuesday saw the first ever ‘Walk of Game’ ceremony, with a number of key industry figures, game characters and games being inducted. Nolan Bushnell, the creator of Pong, and the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto, of Nintendo fame, were both honoured for their services to the industry.

The iconic videogame characters Sonic the Hedgehog and Mario (the plumber, in case you were wondering) were both inducted into the Walk of Game and, surprisingly, Microsoft’s Xbox smash, Halo, became the first game to have its own star on the Walk of Game.
