Ubisoft has announced that they have had a very successful first semester of 2005, confirming their position as the number 2 publisher on the European continent, and also strengthening its market share in North America and Australia.
For the first half of 2005 Ubisoft were ranked as the 2nd independent publisher in the UK, 4th in Germany, and 5th in Spain in terms of market value. Outside of Europe the company also did well, ranking 3rd in Canada, 6th in the US and 4th in Australia.
Ubisoft should see continued success in the second half of 2006, with such high profile releases as Rainbow Six: Lockdown, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Far Cry Instincts and the movie tie-in King Kong.
