The website is reporting that Tecmo president, Junji Nakamura, has told investors that the company is now looking at the possibility of PlayStation 3 development. Tecmo had previously been unsure of PlayStation 3 development, but have been strong supporters of the PlayStation 2. The only missing part to PlayStation 2 development was that of Team Ninja, who have thus far been Xbox devotees, which looks set to continue with Dead or Alive 4 appearing on the Xbox 360.

Nakamura also commented on rising development costs with Xbox 360 development costs expected to rise by 20% over the current generation. He also had something to say about developing on the PlayStation 3.

Compared to the Xbox 360, it seems to be somewhat out of place with today’s developers. I believe that it is having an influence on the skills and abilities of developers. You will have to change your way of thinking.

For know the situation of Tecmo development on the PlayStation 3 remains uncertain, but we can look forward to Dead or Alive 4, expected to launch with the Xbox 360 in November.
