Lords of the Fallen will run at 900p on Xbox One and 1080p on PlayStation 4, creative director Tomasz Gop has confirmed to VideoGamer.com.

Gop discussed the differences between the two versions in a new gameplay walkthrough, explaining that the two games were "pretty much similar," but "probably the resolution [on Xbox One] is like 900p instead of 1080p on PlayStation 4. But apart from that there's nothing different I would say."

Earlier this year, Gop revealed that developer City Interactive had been striving to achieve 1080p on both consoles, but the resolution was proving "slightly tougher" to hit on Xbox One.

And with the game having since been certified for launch in the US, don't expect to see a resolution bump between now and release.

"It's really, really close [to completion]," Gop told us. "Pretty much the only thing that we're doing is last minute fixes, but we've already been certified. We're already past the US certification for PlayStation."

Lords of the Fallen launches on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on October 31.

I focused more about differences between resolution in this game on PS4 and XBOX ONE and don't have so much time to watch this long gameplay. But now I watch it and I'm proud of myself. It looks so amazing. Now I can't wait to this game so much.

In total, for me it is no matter how the game will go to the console. I'm going to buy the PC version. LoF looks beautiful. It's nice that will tutorial. It will be a moment to familiarize yourself with the techniques of the game. Already I can not wait:)

actually they are saying 1600x900. or any horizontal res and 960 vertical with the AR stretched to 16:9. It's all scaling. Any xbox one game that renders in sub 1080p like this is then just stretched and filtered to a 1920x1080p frame buffer. Lots of games render in weird and abnormal resolutions internally, then to be scaled to the output res.

On consoles, there is no such thing as displaying a game in 900p, 540p or anything other than 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i or 1080p. When developers say a game runs at 900p, they are saying that the native resolution is 1400x900, like Watch_Dogs for the PS4. However you cannot display it in 900p as the PS4 will not allow you to do that. You can upscale it to 1080p or downscale it to 720p, with the better image coming in at 720p.

A lot of game have problems with 1080p on XBOX ONE so it's nothing new. I'm glad to hear that because now I know that we don't have 1080p on XO. So I know what I can expected.
