UPDATE: Microsoft has told VideoGamer.com that Lords of the Fallen is "not part of the Ultimate Game Sale" - despite the game being reduced to £7.50 yesterday and developer Deck 13 stating that it was "supposed to be in there".

"'Lord of the Fallen' on Xbox One is not part of the Ultimate Game Sale Feb. 17 – 23," a Microsoft representative said in a statement provided to us this afternoon. "Please visit http://www.xbox.com/en-US/promotions/sales/ultimate-game-sale-xbox-one-deals for the full list of titles available through this week's promotion."

VideoGamer.com has asked the platform holder for further clarification.

ORIGINAL STORY: Lords of the Fallen "was supposed to be" featured in this week's Xbox Ultimate Games Sale, developer Deck 13 has confirmed after the title mysteriously disappeared from the sale last night.

The action-RPG was reduced to just £7.50 at the launch of yesterday's sale, but was pulled just hours after being discounted, returning to its usual £49.99 selling price.

"Regarding the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale. It was suposed [sic] to be in there," Deck 13 tweeted this morning. "It also seems it was for a few hours and then got pulled. No info yet!"

VideoGamer.com has contacted Microsoft to find out whether the game will return to its discounted price.

The Xbox Ultimate Games Sale launched on Xbox One and Xbox 360 yesterday, offering huge discounts on games like Kinect Sports Rivals, Sniper Elite 3, Watch Dogs and more.

The sale is due to run until next Monday, February 23.

Very nice price for game. Honestly LotF is one of this games which is worth their price from release day. For me this is good game and I wait for more:)

It's not appeared in the weekend sales. Damn.

Saw some young kid and his grandma buy Kinect Sports Rivals in Game yesterday for £30 and then saw the sale here. Owch.

£7.50 for LotF is a great deal though; all of these Xbox deals are!

I think NBA Live 15 is coming to EA Access, so the rumours say, and I prefer NBA 2K games so I'll stick to them. I expect Lords of the Fallen will be back at the weekend, but I really don't know whether to get it or not.

Might pick up Trials on Xbox One and the full season pass for £12, though.

Wasn't sure whether it was worth it. It has pretty mixed reviews, some saying that it's too easy, some that it's too hard and others saying that it's pretty boring after a while.

A friend of mine ran into this yesterday, after speaking with some xbox support staff he was told that Lords of the Fallen was supposed to be part of the weekend sale and was listed yesterday by mistake. Apparently it will resurface at it's discounted price on Friday.

Fortunately I nabbed it just before it went back to full price.
