The script for Hitman Absolution has 2000 pages for the AI-controlled characters alone, the game’s director has revealed.

“We’re still doing voice recordings and pick-ups,” said Tor Blystad, speaking to VideoGamer at a recent Square Enix event.

“We just did a big recording before Christmas and we have another one. We’ll see how much we can cram in, it’ll basically come down to logistics and memory. We have a script of 2000 pages for the AI alone. It’s huge.”

From what we’ve seen of the game so far, the NPCs certainly are chatty. Blystad also revealed that each NPC has a dedicated name and identity, in contrast to the crowds of anonymous guards and civilians we’ve seen in the past.
