GTA 5 - 'I'd bet my wife on it not coming out this year', says retail source

VideoGamer.com source dismisses November 23 release date claims.

A retail source has dismissed claims that Grand Theft Auto V will release on November 23.

Speaking to VideoGamer.com on the grounds of anonymity, our retail source told us that he would "bet my wife, my house and your life on [GTA V] not coming out this year".

Earlier today, online retailer Zavvi told Eurogamer Portugal that the November 23 release date advertised on its website was "the release date forwarded by [its] supplier".

"If the release date change, our website will be updated immediately," it added.

Rockstar has yet to officially announce a release date for GTA V.

The publisher does appear to be ramping up publicity for the title, however. It has already released two asset drops this week, detailing the game's transport and leisure systems.

Could a release date be next?

Probably a bit like just cause 2 this in the way they released it for the xbox and ps2 but then much improved versions on ps3 and xbox 360.....trailer and screen shots are defo from a very high end pc and/or programmers such as rockstar are now programming on next generation consoles such as ps4 and xbox 720 which are both now long overdue!!....

Well that's a safe bet isn't it! I mean this would be leaving it pretty dam late in the gaming world.

Here's an idea for you, Rockstar as we know release there PC editions later than console. Those screen shots we keep seeing are dam good, I can't believe they are 360 maybe PS3 but hard to believe they are any of them two. So what if they are ether PC or without knowing it the first glimpse of next gen? Now that would be something.
