An HD version of handheld Batman spin-off Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is heading to Xbox 360, a listing on xbox.com has revealed.

According to the listing, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate – Deluxe Edition includes the original 2.5D game along with "new maps, enemy encounters, difficult levels, batsuits, and enhanced visuals".

"A companion game to Batman: Arkham Origins, players can continue the storyline of the console version and discover more details of the Dark Knight's past," reads the listing. "Featuring stealth gameplay, free-flow combat, and Batman’s famed arsenal of gadgets, the genuine Arkham experience is reproduced in a deep, action packed side-scrolling adventure."

Blackgate launched on PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS last October, and was first rumoured to be making the jump to PC last month after the title was allegedly caught on Steam's stats page.

Warner Bros. has yet to announce the HD port or confirm which new platforms Blackgate is headed to.

And it is certainly less frustrating and quicker if you can actually work where the hell you are going.

Respawning enemies would have finished me off but i stuck with this game to the end despite coming close to calling it a day twice because i was seriously struggling to get to where I needed to be.

Fair enough point, but it certainly needed something. Running through loads of empty corridors isn't fun.

Ahhh didn't know that thanks dude.

WB Montreal are backlisted for me now anyway, wouldn't be surprised if they were disbanded or renamed or something anyway.

Different developers (Armature Studios) made Blackgate, but it's the same publisher.

Will be avoiding this after WB Montreal screwed me with the whole we will make DLC for a broken game that we can't fix. Already bought the season pass but can't play the dlc as the new patches have now made my copy of the game unplayable!
Wouldn't even redeem it if it was on PSN+

Decent game which would have been much better with a functional map.

I disagree partly: the amount of time I had to go back and forth searching for the door I needed thanks to the awful maps, I'm glad I didn't have to keep fighting! Might be nice to respawn when you've finished a section though and you choose to go back.

I think it wouldn't have harmed the game if any time you left one of the 3 main sectors and went to another that the enemies respawn in those sectors.

Agree completely, it felt like a ghost prison after you went back to an area you completed earlier. The problem is that this is required at times because the game has you doubling back on yourself.

It's a good handheld title, but one thing they should think about adding is respawning enemies in some areas. Otherwise you can find yourself going through 20 different rooms without once getting into a fight.

Would like to see the new content come to the Vita as DLC.
