Mario Maker has been delayed to September, Nintendo has announced. The game had previously been due to arrive in the first half of 2015.

Mario Maker allows Wii U users to create and share their own Mario levels, and lets players easily switch between the 8-bit visuals of the original Super Mario Bros. and the updated ‘HD’ look of New Super Mario Bros.

Nintendo is also planning a range of activity linked to Mario Maker to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Super Mario Bros. later this year.

The original game first released in Japan in September 13, 1985, and while an exact launch date for Mario Maker has yet to be confirmed, you can probably expect it to arrive somewhere around mid-September.
