watch dogs ps4 bundle large -

Sony has said that it is working with Ubisoft and its retail partners while it considers how best to handle pre-orders placed for the Watch Dogs PlayStation 4 bundle.

In a statement provided to VideoGamer.com in response to Watch Dogs' delay this evening, SCEE said:

"Obviously this is [a] very recent announcement, but we will be working very closely both with Ubisoft and with our partners at retail to manage this situation."

The platform holder did not say whether it would be working with Ubisoft to replace Watch Dogs with an alternate Ubisoft title or if it would be pulling the bundle SKU altogether.

The Watch Dogs PS4 bundle was announced alongside three other official bundles earlier this month, which bundled a copy of the game in with the console.

Ubisoft announced that it had delayed Watch Dogs into spring 2014 earlier this evening.

Sony have got to do the right thing here and honour the pre-order bundle. Sony and the retailer need to deliver the console minus Watch Dogs and include documents claiming Watch Dogs will be delivered later when ready.

The retailer can offer a refund or game change, but the default should be to honour the pre-order as is, because the chosen purchase was PS4 and Watch Dogs at a discount. Nothing else will do unless authorised by the consumer.

So it pretty much seems that they screwed up with the late release date.

The problem they now have is they will be competing against the major game 'Destiny' Since destiny is also being released in spring 2014..... same as now watchdogs. I personally was going to play watchdogs for a good couple of months (release) until destiny came out ... but if there both released at the same time i no i will be picking destiny over watchdogs.

For my part I'm wondering exactly how much money this is going to set back Ubisoft. I can't see Sony dealing with the fall out, and difficulties of replacing this bundle, for free.

As one of the poor idiots who just upgraded to the Watchdogs bundle last week I'm intrigued as to what it will be replaced with, so I'm looking forward to the impending phone call from Game.

I wonder how they'll manage it. They can't just change the game because a lot of the people who pre-ordered the Watch Dogs clearly wanted a Watch Dogs bundle so to give them any other game and take their money would be both unprofessional and probably breach their consumer rights.

A PSN code for £49 is interesting but 1) I bet Watch Dogs will be the full £55 on PSN and 2) if I've preordered a physical copy of a game then I've done that for a reason - because I want a physical copy.

If it were me I'd rather just have the PS4 without a game and keep the extra bit of money so that I can go to the shop and pick what I want.

Some people may not have wanted to get Watchdogs....Although I did. If they do that and people can opt for a different bundle, it'll be fine.

Replace it with Black Flag and that has me set for one of titles I planned to get at launch.
