The first image of this year’s Call of Duty has appeared online, revealing an early look at the kind of visuals players can expect from Sledgehammer Games’ upcoming shooter.

The image (posted by IGN) was reportedly revealed during Sledgehammer’s ‘Quest for Quality’ GDC panel last month, and allegedly shows off “actual in-game characters” from this year’s COD.

While it hasn’t been confirmed, expect the shot to be taken from the next-gen version.

Sledgehammer’s latest Call of Duty is expected to release this autumn and is in development primarily for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with High Moon Studios rumoured to be developing the last-gen ports. Further details have yet to be announced.
