Rockstar has pledged to release updates and DLC for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 at the same time they roll out on console.

Discussing the PC version with GameSpot, a member of the development team explained that Rockstar plans to “deliver updates to PC and consoles simultaneously. There can be occasional variations in timing based on specifics from one console to another,” they continued, “but PC will not be on a separate timetable to other platforms.”

Rockstar has yet to detail its plans for future GTA 5 DLC but has previously teased “substantial additions” for the game’s story. Some future updates may not be possible on Xbox 360 or PS3 due to technical limitations, however.

A new radio station – The Lab – is also due to debut with the PC version next week, although it isn’t yet clear when or if it’ll arrive on console.

GTA 5 launches on PC next Tuesday, April 14.
