The white Xbox One console provided to Microsoft employees last year will go on general sale later this year, according to new rumours from an alleged Xbox insider.
The new console, which is rumoured to launch in October, will also be available in a bundle containing a copy of Sunset Overdrive and a "fancy ass controller", the informant claims, with a "limited edition 1TB" version of the Xbox One releasing one month later in November.
Verifying the rumour, The Verge claims that Microsoft "is indeed planning to release its white employee-only Xbox One this year". Microsoft's Larry Hryb suggested that the platform holder could have plans to release the console to the public last August, teasing that it may be released "waaaay in the future".
The informant also suggests that a disc-less Xbox One could be released; something The Verge states Microsoft has already been testing internally.
A Bluetooth adaptor is alleged to be in development as well, although it isn't know what the device could be used for. Hooking up Bluetooth headsets to the Xbox One, perhaps?
Microsoft told VideoGamer.com that it does not comment on rumour and speculation when contacted about the leak this morning.
