ps4 box111 -

PlayStation 4 will be released in Europe on November 29, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced.

The US release date is two weeks earlier on November 15.

As has been known for some time now, PS4 will retail at £349 in the UK.

More than one million PS4 pre-orders have already been made worldwide.

Microsoft is yet to announce the release date for the Xbox One, but has said it will be out in November.

Just a heads up, but it says the PS4 will be released on August 29th on your front page.

I personally dont think it'll make the blindest bit of difference when they release. People who have decided to go with one platform arent doing so because one is released before the other. A 2 week delay isn't going to sway anyone if they've already decided to go with one platform over the other.

Imagine if both consoles released on the same day over here - all the midnight launches would require riot police! :p

The move to cut back on territories is a good one. This way there are more consoles available in the prime zones that MS has a good install base in eg. UK, France, and Germany. Thus keeping those markets happy and allowing for 2nd and 3rd deliveries prior to Christmas. I think direct is better than spreading too thinly. I can see this tactic being deployed by Sony too hence my previous PS4 delay for some of Europe else expect serious supply problems prior to Christmas and early 2014. The bonus to this is buy an extra and flog it on the Ebay for £700.

You'd think Sony would care more about the European market sales since it's one of their stronger sale ventures. Then again, suppose they're trying to break into the American market ahead of Xbox.
One way or another, may they be damned!

9 hours of airport 'security' and 13 days 14.5 hours of navigating around potholes whilst being distributed and 30 minutes for the plugs.

Why a two week delay for Europe, seriously? Is it the plugs, because if it is.... damned plugs.

I don't think xbox one will be able to release early November so I am guessing about the same time as ps4, however the fact that the xbox one is not coming to a lot of European counties will effect their sales early on so they better hope they can somehow release before ps4 but tbh I doubt that will even matter.

There's not much of Europe left for MS to be delayed in.

Didn't expect a wait of 14 days. A week maybe, but 2 weeks is a bit surprising.

Well MS said Watchdogs will be a day one title so that indicates at lease a November 22nd release date.

I still predict a delay in most of Europe but hopefully not in the UK as it's the 3rd biggest market.
