Ken Kutaragi, the creator of the original PlayStation, is busy working on something “totally cool”.

As reported by Games Thirst, the former president and CEO of SCE made the revelation when he was contacted by journalists from Bloomberg Businessweek, who were working on a feature about Sony’s past and future.

The Father of PlayStation told the writers that he was working on something “totally cool” but refused to elaborate beyond saying “many of the Sony old boys would be better to speak to”.

Kutaragi stepped down from his position as CEO in 2007. Up until June this year he was honorary chairman of SCEI, and today he still serves Sony as a senior technology advisor.

Lots of people are immediately assuming that Kutaragi was working on the PS4, but let’s not jump to conclusions. It could be anything, though I’m as keen as the rest of you to know what it might be.
