Bloodborne has been out for a little while now, and many have wondered how to unlock its elusive third ending. You can view each of the endings in the clips below, the second clip is the third ending, and we’ve included details of how to unlock it. Warning: MAJOR SPOILERS!
How to unlock the first and second Bloodborne endings
For the two endings below, players are presented with a choice when the speak to Gehrman, the First Hunter, in Hunter’s Dream for the final time. They can choose to submit to him or refuse the offer, the latter of which resulting in a boss fight.

How to unlock the third Bloodborne ending
- From the Forbidden Woods, find the path that leads to the rear entrance of Iosefka’s Clinic, kill the woman on the hospital bed and receive One Third of Umbilical Cord.
- From Cathedral Ward, take the exit to the right of the lamp, descending the wooden bridges to ridge the Old Abandoned Workshop. Inside is One Third of Umbilical Cord.
- Defeat Mergo’s Wet Nurse in Nightmare of Mensis to receive One Third Umbilical Cord.
- Before speaking to Gehrman at the end game, use all three Umbilical Cords. After defeating Gehrman (refusing his offer at the choice), the Moon Presence will appear, and you’ll face it in the final boss fight, unlocking the below ending.
