Top 10: Ideas that will make GTA 5 on PS4 mind blowing

We've played GTA 4 to exhaustion here at VideoGamer.com and already thought of the kind of content we want added to the game on top of the Xbox 360 episodes. We got thinking though: what do we want from GTA 5? In keeping with how GTA 3 spawned only unnumbered sequels on the PS2, we're guessing that GTA 5 will be launched on the next generation of systems in the winter of 2014. So here's our Top 10: Ideas that will make GTA 5 on PS4 mind blowing.

10. Facial scanning

Imagine playing multiplayer GTA with your friends. Not just random-faced virtual avatars but in-game characters that look like the spitting image of your mates. By the next generation of consoles we expect face scanning will have come on a bit from Rainbow Six Vegas and that your face will be faithfully recreated in the game. I can picture the cooperative bank jobs now. Just imagine sitting in the getaway vehicle as three of your mates come charging out of the bank's double doors. It would help immersion no end.

9. Car customisation

While playing through GTA 4 we never really felt attached to our cars. If we'd had the option to completely customise them, from performance to decals, we might have felt a stronger bond. Imagine having tools similar to those found in Microsoft's Forza 2, effectively letting you apply any paint job you'd like. Head to the car performance store and pick up some nitros, a few neon lights and you're set. It'd be great in single-player, but it would be brilliant in multiplayer games, with each gang having their own custom designs.

and	0 0 In response to Article » Go to 's original post i think the ideas are good, but we must remember that all of this would be a fantasy of someone who wants to lead a virtual life.. killing someone for example and then have his family move out because they cant afford to live there, is unofrtunately a harsh reality that happens in real life today and i dont think that would reflect the idea of "playing a game". but most of the ideas such as, travelling to other countries, and fully customizable cars are good and it will definetly be something that would make GTA 5 different from the rest Reply

Glitch	0 0 In response to Article » Go to 's original post I think asking for real time changes such as road closure will conflict with missions. Say for example you blew up a house you are supposed to visit on a mission a day before the actual mission. It's a no go. Also if you have a rocket launcher with a fair bit of ammo... you could bring down an entire block of biuldings making the game come to a near stand still in some cases. As for killing people and having gansters after you.. in one game you could accidently kill 10 people or even 20 and have a quarter of the city wanting you dead.. allowing for no freedom. GTA is a fantasy crime game, having too much of this said 'realism' would bring about lack of fun and make create an entirely different gaming experience. I am sure all of these options have been considered before by rockstar and avoided, however you do have one valid comment, about pop up. Regards, Dan Reply

eddie	0 0 In response to Article » Go to 's original post I agree with Glitch, GTA is a fantasy game. If you get punished too much for doing "sandbox evil" then you would stop doing it. I love killing everyone in my path and then just not worry about the consequences. If you want real game play, shoot the next guy that cuts you off on the way to work. That would be a shit load of reality that would satisfy all your "reality needs". Reply

Some of the enhancements to this game make it hard to like it as compared to previous games. If they brought back the clothing changes from GTA san andreas I'd freak out. That diaper load in no. 1 is just ... crap. The rest are slightly less crap. Those ideas are so unrealistic. Aren't near real npc's what they are trying to do all the time? One thing they can do instead of moving forward is make some new guns. Gta lcs and gta vcs had the exact same guns, why dont they fix that first and there are the least guns in gta 4 since gta 3. Who said its gonna be 6 years? I'd say 3, since they already work out how to make it work on those consoles, so it will probably be a shorter time than gta 4 to make. That is so presumitive. Reply

Make these NPCs lifelike. Examples are great in Army Of 2, RFOM and Drakes. RPG Element. Make GTAIV an open worlded RPG. Your character starts off getting his ass kicked... How can he change this? How about Karate, boxing of MMA lessons? How about having the options of being good and getting a job at the police department? Etc etc... This would be huge.... Control.. The controls are actually horrible when compared to other 3rd person like Drakes, Army of Two etc. Fix this up. The camera swing with the left thumbstick while walking is nasty.... This can be fixed now.... Family etc. Options of having family. This would add to more of a dramatic feel. Example, your family member is kidnapped, held for ransom and you have to search for them? This can open up doors... Reply

At the weapon shop you should be able to buy new camoflages for your gun. Maybe you could buy a silencer so that the police cannot hear your gun. I also think there are too many police. But this isn't a big problem. Reply

Maybe they should set the game in britain, france, spain and germany. Or even in Africa. Just somewhere different. I also think that they should make the story longer. Gta san andreas was a really long game. Gta 4 is not that long. I think that gta 5 should be at least twice as long as gta4. Reply

If you fail a mission you fail it. Why not make the story branching. So fail to rescue your cousin he is dead. You dont retry it, now the game is so much harder as you are on your own. Fail to kill a character early on he plagues you later in the game. This would be far more important than most of the pointless junk in this post. Give us real missions which can be failed with consequences. It means more work in making extra missions to fill in alternate story lines but you would end with an amazing game which turned out different for every player!! Reply
