Retail copies of Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes will include additional bonuses over the digital release, Konami has told

Details on the bonus content will be "announced soon".

Konami confirmed earlier today that Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes would be available at retail and via digital on both current and next-gen platforms. However, the physical versions will cost £10 more than the digital release, costing £29.99 on 360/PS3 and £39.99 on Xbox One/PS4.

When bought digitally the game will cost £19.99 on 360/PS3 and £29.99 on Xbox One/PS4.

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes acts as a prologue to MGS 5: The Phantom Pain featuring a variety of missions set within a Cuban containment camp. The game launches on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on March 21, 2014.

This is promising as I plan to manly go digital when I get next gen. They needed to offer perks to push people to go digital and a price drop is the best way I just hope they drop the price accordingly with physical copy. Would also like to see digital rental store where you can pay for set amount of time on games.

This seems a lot for a "prologue" I imagine if you wait a bit you'll be able to find the retail version for the same price as the digital version anyway.

So are we getting a retail next gen version or not? Konami has been terrible with clarification. If not then it's another stupid move.

shouldn't retail cost more than digital anyway? considering with retail you get the disc and a case to display on your shelf as well as having the security of having a physical copy... I don't mind paying more for retail, I don't need extra content and to be honest it's the digital version that should have to be more justified for it's price considering it doesn't need to be packaged or delivered and have to be sold by a third party distributor.
