Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has dropped the biggest hint yet that Watch Dogs could launch on next-generation consoles in addition to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Speaking on Spike TV, Guillemot confirmed that the game was being played on a high-end PC during Ubisoft’s E3 conference.

But when asked which platforms Watch Dogs would eventually release on, Guillemot stumbled, saying:

“[Watch Dogs] is going to come on PS3, 360, PC and, er, we’ll see.”

Speculation ran rife yesterday following Watch Dogs’ reveal, with many suggesting the game could be a next-gen title.

However, Ubisoft’s press website was later updated to confirm that Watch Dogs would launch on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

“It’s going to be very different to the games we’ve done in the past. More social, more open,” Guillemot said.
